Deer stand is a deer hunting tool used by hunters. Deer stands are also named as tree stands. Deer stands are secured to trees to elevate the hunter properly and give a hunter proper vantage point. Deer stand is similar to a tripod stand. Deer stands are specially designed according to the hunter requirement and the area where he is going to hunt. Hunters must know about the basic differences between all the types of deer stands because it would help hunters to choose a proper deer stand. Some important types of deer stands are listed as: ladder stand, climber stand and lock-on stand. Ladder stand is the simplest deer stand on top of a ladder. One side of ladder stand is attached to the tree with straps. Ladder stand is approximately 20 feet long. These stands are large enough for any hunter to hunt properly in any area. A climber stand uses a blade to grip tree properly but modern climber stand uses rubber covered cables. The climber stand is more secured to the tree near grounds level so that hunter’s feet may slips properly to desired slot. Lock on stand is made up of a seat and foot rest and much like a climber stand.
If you have a lab or another retriever you might want to also have a kennel nearby for them. That way they don’t spook the deer or ducks while you are in your blind or stand.
